Marcel Duchamp

Marcel Duchamp

2001 – Acciaio inox, stampe fotografiche.
Dimensioni:  cm. 33x38x9

Marcel Duchamp

2001 – Inox steel, photo prints.
Dimensions: cm 33x38x9

It’s a present to and a deep meditation on Marcel Duchamp, the father of all of us.
An inscrutable negative and positive image of the artist, printed on a inox steel plate. This is bent as though two pages of an open book (the maximum bearer of words), facing each other, would interprenetrate one into the other.  When one looks at the work, it is as though the interior world of the negative would interact with the exterior world of the positive and viceversa. Duchamp’s signature is drawn from one of his works and it is engraved with acid into the inox steel plate.
